Deenia was born in a small village near the city of Botosani, Rahadoum on the 5th of Sarenith 4690 to Jaffra and Bita Paydar. They live on the outskirts of the city in a coven of witches whom many seek out for their herbal remedies and non-divine healing. Deenia is a fairly good looking woman, but men do not find her attractive as she stumbles on her words and seems to always put her foot in her mouth. However, her father being quite traditional has recently been looking for a suitor for Deenia. One of the members of her coven has become quite ill. The coven though has exhausted every possible herbal recipe they can think of. Head Priestess Brina Boduica thinks there may be some herbs in the Mwangi Expanse that may provide a cure. Deenia thinks finding the cure a good way to escape her fathers suitors, mark her place in the coven and just maybe find some adventure she has read and heard about. So she sets off buying her passage to Corentyn, Cheliax and soon finds herself on the Jenivere.
